mail2.you service information
Service purpose
mail2.you receives inbound email and forwards accepted messages to Telegram. It is designed for disposable or long-lived personal mailboxes and for routing email for domains the user owns. The service does not provide a web inbox.
Predefined-domain mailboxes
Users can create a mailbox on tgmailbox.com or tgbox.io from the mail2.you Telegram bot. There is no separate website signup. A mailbox handle is unique across its domain. A TTL in hours, days, or months is optional; a mailbox can also have no expiry.
- Deleted and expired handles stop accepting email.
- Deleted and expired handles remain reserved and cannot be registered by another user.
- The original owner can restore a deleted or expired mailbox with a new TTL or no expiry.
- Common operational handles, such as support, contact, abuse, postmaster, and noreply, are reserved.
Bring your own domain
A user can add a domain they control and point its MX record to mail2.you. The domain must pass MX verification before mail is delivered. Each user configures one Telegram bot token and target chat for all of their BYOD domains.
BYOD filtering
Each verified BYOD domain has an allow or deny default policy. Optional filter exceptions can match the SMTP envelope sender, the recipient, or both. Filters use full email-address patterns with * as a wildcard. A matching exception reverses the domain default decision.
Email delivery and retention
For predefined mailboxes, delivery uses the mail2.you management bot. For BYOD domains, delivery uses the Telegram bot configured by the user. mail2.you processes email automatically for forwarding and does not provide a stored-message inbox. Email and regular attachments are temporarily spooled to disk during forwarding; temporary files are removed after processing. Up to five regular attachments of 10 MiB each are forwarded as Telegram documents; inline images are excluded. Delivered messages remain in Telegram. Message content is formatted as safe Telegram HTML with a plain-text fallback if rich delivery fails.
Service limits
mail2.you is a free, early-stage service. It is provided as is and should not be used for critical account creation, account recovery, identity, banking, government, healthcare, employer, or other high-impact services.
